The field of Electrical Engineering being one of the core areas of engineering has great demand even in this age of information technology. The recent slowdown of IT market has revived the interest of the engineering education aspirants with a renewed vigour. Although the focus of the world shifted to other fields of engineering for some period of time in the past few decades, the importance of it has never been diminished and neither it will be.
One can see the application of the principles of Electrical engineering in the field of telecommunication and instrumentation. So, good prospects of employment are always there for the graduates in these disciplines across the sectors like telecommunication, instrumentation and information technology.
Electrical Engineers are much in demand in India. In the recent years, from house to companies every where there is a necessity of electricity to function, offering numerous opportunities to electrical engineers.
These engineers can work in atomic power plants, hydel or thermal power plants. Job opportunities are ample in both private and public sector like railways, civil aviation, electricity board and utility companies, electrical design and consultancy firms and all types of manufacturing industries.
Government Polytechnic, Kharsawan has 60 seats in Electricals Engineering Department for each semester.
